Coach David Kubicsek is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and moved to Houston, Texas to teach high school and coach basketball in 2004. He coached in the Houston area for nine years before moving to the Fort Worth area in 2014.
Coach Kubicsek is an economics teacher and basketball coach at Aledo High School. Overall, he has 21 years of experience as a basketball coach. He has been a head coach for both boys and girls 10 out of 21 of those years. He has helped lead his teams to six playoff appearances and a bi-district championship during his coaching tenure.
Coach Kubicsek has a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from Point Park University where he was a scholarship member of the basketball team, which made it to the Sweet 16. Additionally, he has a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas in Houston.
Coach Kubicsek coaches with a passion and a love for the game of basketball that he wants to share with others. Basketball was very influential in his life that he hopes he can help make a positive impact in the lives of the players he coaches.
Coach Kubicsek and his wife, Lindsay live in Aledo, Texas. They have four children; Kennedy (15), Emerson (9), Reid (6), and Kellen (4). The Kubicsek family enjoy playing sports, watching movies, and going on summer beach vacations together. Lindsay and the kids are Coach Kub's biggest fans at his games.
